⚡ Getting Started

Before diving into the integration process, let's ensure you have everything you need:

  1. Mathison Admin Access

    Only users with Super Manager or Manager access can set up an integration with Mathison’s Dashboard. You’ll know whether or not you have permission by seeing a “Link HRIS →” button on the Dashboard when you’re logged in. If you don’t see it, contact the administrator for your Mathison account to upgrade your permissions.

  2. HRIS Admin Access

    Gather the necessary login credentials and permissions for your HRIS platform. This typically includes admin access, permissions to extract relevant data, and broad read/write permissions. Follow the prompts in Mathison to see specific instructions for your HRIS.

  3. IT Support or Approval (if necessary)

    Depending on your HRIS platform, you may need the support of your IT or technical team to facilitate the integration. You can send them our Security & Privacy overview for all the details they may need.

What is the purpose of integrating our HRIS with Mathison's Dashboard?

  • Integrating your HRIS with Mathison's Dashboard allows you to leverage your HR data for data-driven decision-making. It helps you gain insights into your workforce, track DEI metrics, and make informed decisions to improve opportunity equity and inclusion.

Will integrating our HRIS affect our existing HR processes?

  • Integrating your HRIS with Mathison's Dashboard should not disrupt your existing HR processes, as data is only pulled in one direction from your HRIS to Mathison. It's designed to work seamlessly alongside your HR systems, providing additional insights without interfering with daily operations.

Can we integrate multiple HRIS platforms if we have subsidiaries or divisions with separate systems?

  • At this time we currently support one HRIS integration per account, but supporting multiple integrations is on our roadmap. Contact your Customer Impact Manager or support@mathison.io if you have any further questions or comments about this feature.

Are there any additional costs associated with integrating our HRIS with Mathison's Dashboard?

  • There is no additional cost for current Mathison customers to integrate your HRIS.

How long does the integration process take?

  • The integration process usually takes about 5 minutes to complete. You will receive an email from Mathison notifying you once your integration is confirmed and data is synced. On rare occasions, the data can take 1-2 days to populate even once the integration is complete, depending on the size of your organization.

Do we need IT or technical expertise to integrate our HRIS with Mathison's Dashboard?

  • While some technical knowledge can be beneficial, Mathison's integration process is designed to be user-friendly. Most HRIS platforms are designed to accommodate integrations, and often have supporting documentation to guide you along the process.
  • You will need to have Super Manager access in your Mathison account and broad read/write/admin access in your HRIS to enable this integration.

What measures are in place to ensure the security of our HR data?

  • Mathison takes data security seriously. We employ industry-standard security practices, including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and strict access controls, to safeguard your HR data. We never sell your data, and we anonymize and aggregate data to protect privacy. Click here to read our complete Security & Privacy overview.

What data will be shared during the integration?

  • The most common data pulled is generic employee records, such as names, departments, location, and any demographic information available. You can click here to see a high-level list of the data fields we pull when integrating. As always, employee data is anonymized and aggregated to prevent individual identification, and personally identifiable information is never shared.
  • Please note that the data displayed can vary depending on your HRIS and how it is set up. For example, if your HRIS does not have an ethnicity field, we will not be able to display a Department x Ethnicity. If you have made a custom field, we can potentially map that custom field to the related chart on a case-by-case basis.

How often does data sync between our HRIS and Mathison's Dashboard?

  • Data syncs immediately once your HRIS is connected and then refreshes daily. The date for when data was last refreshed will be displayed on the top left side of your Dashboard.

Can we access historical data from our HRIS once the integration is complete?

  • At this time, Mathison’s Dashboard does not present historical data pulled from your HRIS platform, but this feature is on our roadmap. You can always periodically export the Dashboard charts as a PDF to maintain historical data.
