Getting Started with User Management

Overview

Admins can invite new users and edit product access for each user.

By default, all users have access to the Knowledge Center and Bias Scanner, but admins can grant specific users role-based access to Mathison’s DEI Strategy products (Equity Index, Action Plan, etc.) on a case-by-case basis.

Note: As of 2022, customers on any plan can add unlimited users and no longer pay per seat

Platform-Level Roles

Admins

  • Super Manager : Admins who can view all data, manage organization settings (login, integrations), and manage users
  • Manager : Admins who can view all data and manage users but not organization-level settings

Team Members

  • Basic User : Can only view Knowledge Center and Bias Scanner unless granted access to specific Mathison products by Admins

Default Product-Level Access

The table below outlines the default access users are granted to each of Mathison’s products based on their role. Admins may also upgrade a user’s access to specific Mathison products.

ℹ️ Note: Groups access cannot be changed by Admins at this time. Reach out to your CIM to learn more or update access for Groups.


Upgrading Product-Level Access

By default, new users cannot see their org’s Equity Index Assessment, EI Dashboard, nor Action Plan. Admins can grant users access to specific Mathison products on a case-by-case basis.

  • No EI Access (default): Cannot access Equity Index or Action Plan products
  • Basic EI Access : Users with Basic EI Access can only access the Action Plan and view specific goals when they are assigned as a Goal Owner or Team Member. They cannot view the EI Assessment, Dashboard, or the full set of Recommendations or Action Plan.
    • Goal Owners can edit assigned goals
    • Team Members can view assigned goals, but not edit them
    • Note: It’s possible to grant a Basic EI Access user Goal Owner access on goal X, but only Team Member access on goal Y.
  • EI Lead : Can view and edit all Equity Index and Action Plan data.
    • An EI Lead may assign themselves as either a Goal Owner or Team Member, but can edit any goal even if they are not assigned to them.


Admins + DEI Strategy Roles

By default, Admins are granted the EI Lead role and Basic Users are granted No EI Access . Admins can still invite users and manage their org without having access to DEI Strategy products.
